Demos & closing
Anyone who wants to show what they built that day has a few low-stakes minutes. Not mandatory. Then we wrap.
Who it's for
If you're building something, you belong.
Students
The side project, the half-built game, the thing you keep sketching in class. Not your homework, not your uni assignments. Your own thing.
Engineers
The side repo you keep meaning to open. This is the place.
Designers
Portfolios, case studies, experiments in Figma or on paper.
Writers
Drafts, newsletters, zines. Anything with words you own.
Researchers
The personal inquiry, the fieldnotes, the question you keep putting off.
Makers
Hardware, textiles, physical prototypes. Bring the mess.
The rules
The room only works if we all honour it.
Personal projects only
No client work. No job tasks. No school assignments. The constraint is the point: two hours on something that only matters to you.
Show up on time
The opening matters. If you miss it, you miss the whole experience. The room moves on without you.
Phone down, head down
Two deep work blocks. No Slack, no scrolling. Breaks exist on purpose.
Demos are optional
If you want to show what you built, you have a few minutes. If you don't, that's fine too.
FAQ
Questions people actually ask.
Who can come?
Anyone who is willing to build something. That's the only filter.
Do I need to bring something to work on?
Yes. Bring the thing you've been avoiding. The tab you haven't closed in three months, the app you keep sketching, the draft you never finish. If you genuinely don't know yet, come anyway. We'll help you find it.
Is it free?
Yes. You only pay for your drink at the venue.
I'm not technical. Is this for me?
All kinds of projects are welcome. Content creators, artists, singers, writers. If you're building something, you belong in the room.
What if I'm shy?
Shy is the devil's wife.
